Nordmann Fir Christmas trees possess a unique appearance from other Christmas tree species. Their needles have two distinct tones, a beautiful dark green top side of the needle and a subtle light blue underside. The combination of these two tones adds more contrast between each limb and really accentuates every ornament you put on it. With their thick, symmetrically arranged branches, the Nordmann Fir, is perfect for displaying heavy or large ornaments. The Nordmann Fir’s needles are short and smooth, and are covered in a waxy cuticle which prevents water loss. Even in the warm Tucson climate, Nordmann’s have little or no needle loss throughout the holiday season. Nordmann Firs, the preferred Christmas tree of Europe, is little known to the general American public but is quickly becoming a more and more popular choice.
